I am Director of TASG Anaesthesia Ltd and a Consultant Anaesthetist at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with a specialist interest in obstetric anaesthesia and a broad elective surgical practice.

I work closely with patients, surgeons and theatre teams to plan anaesthetic care around each person’s needs. My approach combines thorough preoperative assessment with clear explanations, shared decision making and particular attention to patients who feel anxious about surgery.
I have held a substantive consultant appointment in Oxford since April 2026, following specialist training in the Oxford School of Anaesthesia. My advanced training included major surgery, perioperative medicine and obstetric anaesthesia.
Clinical experience
Elective surgical anaesthesia
My current practice includes anaesthesia for ENT, maxillofacial and plastic surgery, urology, gynaecological oncology and lower gastrointestinal surgery.
My major-surgery and perioperative training supports assessment and planning for complex surgical patients, including those with significant medical conditions.
Obstetric anaesthesia
My specialist interest includes antenatal anaesthetic assessment, anaesthesia for caesarean birth and consultant delivery-suite care, including emergencies.
Across my practice, I value calm teamwork, careful communication and helping patients feel informed and reassured.
Education and improving care
Teaching
I am a member of the Academy of Medical Educators and teach anaesthetists, intensive care trainees and multidisciplinary teams. My work includes simulation, obstetric emergency training and support for FRCA examinations.
Quality and patient experience
I contribute to clinical guideline review and projects to improve communication, teamwork and patients’ experience of care. Recent work includes personalised theatre hats and the COMPASS patient-perspective simulation project.
